How to get more bookeh effect in images on dslr camera

If you are willing to get bookeh effect and more sharp images on your dslr then you should do two things:
First,expand your lens to its full .(this will create the background blur and increase bookeh effect).
Second,avoid camera shaking.(for this use a tripod ).
